I was thinking about Poetry night tonight
I want to write
But what to write

There's got to be something
My children
My business
My life
The beauty of the world
Or a simple flower
Childbirth
Love, Hope, Hate
All these things are worthy of a poem
I just want to participate

I want to write with elegance, intelligence
I have so many thoughts, words, ideas
But in my mind that'?s where they stay

The paper sits white
While I try to write
To rhyme
To wordplay

Oh well, maybe I'll try again next Thursday.
